There are a variety of options to purchase a domain name and for the most part, many of the places you have to purchase from are the same.
There is one, however, that I have used frequently and that I recommend. That domain registrar is NameCheap. The reason for this is simple; They value your privacy as much as you do.
To purchase your domain name, follow these steps:

- Click this link to go to NameCheap
- Type in the domain name you wish to purchase in the search bar in the middle of the homepage and click the
search icon. - You will be redirected to another page where you will see a list of domains that are available and the one
you searched for will be listed at the top. (Note: there is an introductory price and a regular price for each
domain.) Click Add to cart next to the domain you wish to purchase.
**If you plan to purchase more than one domain, you can type the next domain you wish to purchase in the
search bar directly above the domain you just searched for and click the search icon again. - At the bottom of the window you will see an orange Checkout button. Click Checkout.
- To receive the discounted pricing for your domain, you can only purchase it for one (1) year. If you increase the
length of your purchase, you will pay the standard rate immediately.
a. Click the toggle to Auto-Renew your domain name. (This helps make sure you won’t lose it if you forget
when it expires – so long as your credit card information is up to date.) You will also see an ICANN fee for
$0.18 on this line. This is charged for all domains worldwide.
b. Click the toggle to Auto-Renew WhoisGuard (This is your privacy subscription.)
c. You do NOT need PremiumDNS for this purchase.
d. Click Confirm Order. - Next you will be directed to create an account. Fill in the requested information, use a strong password,
and be sure to save your password to access your account later. You can uncheck the box for Namecheap’s
newsletter. - Click Create Account and Continue.
- You should then be brought to a billing information page. Enter your preferred billing information. (Make
note that this will be the credit card charged when your domain is set to auto-renew.) - Once you have reviewed everything to confirm it is correct, you can click Confirm Order.
- Your new domain name should appear on your dashboard under Recently Active in Your Account. You can
also view it in the Domain List from the link on the left side of the page.
