INDUSTRY:
Future Focused HR provides fractional HR services to owners and senior leaders of growing businesses — typically in the $5M to $20M range — who need strategic people guidance without the cost of a full-time HR executive. For a new website build, the site needed to do three things clearly: establish credibility with a sophisticated business audience, demonstrate practical HR expertise, and move qualified visitors toward scheduling a consultation. Education was part of the strategy, but as a trust-building mechanism, not the destination — the site needed to earn the conversation, not replace it.
A planned library of downloadable ebooks — covering strategic planning, workforce planning, and succession planning — was central to that trust-building approach. The challenge was making that library work without creating friction for the very people it was designed to serve.
The standard approach to gated content is straightforward: a visitor clicks a resource, fills out a form, and gets the download. Simple enough for one resource — tedious for a library of several, with more planned. Asking a busy senior leader to fill out the same form six times to access six different resources isn’t a minor inconvenience. It signals that the experience ahead might be just as clunky, which is the opposite impression a firm built around simplifying complexity can afford to make.
JCD built a resource download system that treated the visitor’s time as something worth respecting. When a visitor selects a resource, a single popup asks for their name and email — and shows everything else available in the library at the same time. They can select as many resources as they want in that one interaction. One form, one submission, everything they chose delivered on a single personalized download page showing only their selections. The system was also built to scale: as new guides are added, they slot into the existing structure without any changes to the underlying setup.
The Future Focused HR website launched as a clean, credibility-first platform built around its target audience. The resources page followed as a second phase and generated 22 leads within its first seven weeks — a meaningful return for a fractional HR firm whose clients represent significant, long-term engagements.
When the first interaction someone has with a business is effortless, it sets an expectation. That’s exactly the expectation Future Focused HR wanted to set.
